Why you might ask? How can motorcycles not represent all that rugged, tough and BADASS?
Well, the fact of the matter is that if you pay attention to those people who ride motorcycles, you will notice that they follow the rules of the road just as much, if not more, as car/truck drivers. How can I say "if not more"? Again, 'bikers' are not strapped in and furthermore they have no extra protection like that of a bumper or windshield. As a result, they are likely to be more cautious.
Wow, a long winded meandering look at why, mathematically, bikers are not the badasses for what they are known. I must apologize for you enthusiasts, and even more so to the women who find bikes and their riders sexy. I don't have problem with motorbike culture, just don't continue to perpetrate this fallacy of what I have coined - badass.

If the world ends tomorrow, blame the math, not the calculator!

Crazy Carpets & Christmas

Even though this year’s Christmas was a brown one, I was still able to go tobogganing. The local ski hill had snow, albeit artificial, which meant there was going to be some excitement this holiday season. This trek to the ski hill has become a tradition amongst friends, born on account of the lack of snow year in and year out. Trying to build jumps, it takes me back to my childhood…painful memories.

Now that I’m older and not so wiser, I sometimes include alcohol in the sledding experience. Perhaps this is the reason why I decided to shed my clothes, brave the elements, and take a ride in my birthday suit. For whatever reason, it was quite an invigorating few moments at this ‘snoasis’ on the prairies. I will cherish those scrapes in unmentionable places because I really enjoy the time I spend hanging out with friends.

Letter To A Character

Dear James,

How is life in New York City? Well, not exactly, more like I live for the little bit of time before the moment. A healthy mix of anticipation and adrenaline. Followed shortly by exhileration and then anger. The moment will never be repeated, no matter how often I try.
I think if I could stay 10 miles out of Las Vegas the entire time, it would be the best time of my life. I think socks should be abolished and a mandatory sandal law shall be instituted. Thus providing the freedom our toes desperately need and rightfully deserve. Hopefully we all know (but I know some don't know) that you don't wear socks with sandals.
The day the legislature is passed will be called Peppermint Patty day. That girl knew what she was doing, only wearing sandals even in the 'dead' of winter. Props to Patty! Perhaps womens lib has brought us something useful.
Jesus was an avid if not solely (pardon the pun) sandal wearing kinda guy. Sure he roamed the dessert, walked on water, and more miraculous occurances, but other then that I have nothing to prove we should wear sandals for no other reason then Jesus did, and Mohammad, Moses, Abraham, Ghandi, and Buddha?
Ofourse, like my afro-american thesping friend would say, "but you don't have to take my word for it."
